Pastificio Carleschi Einkorn Ditaloni Lisci Pasta 400g

We are very excited to introduce our Wholegrain Stoneground Einkorn Ditaloni Lisci in collaboration with Duchess Farm in Hertfordshire. They are regenerative practicing which means their grains are all grown without any chemical inputs and stoneground by them (so that none of the amazing nutritional and health benefits of this grain are lost in the milling process), before traveling 22 miles to us, ready to be turned into delicious pasta. This allows us to ensure both total traceability and low food miles which is very important to us.

Einkorn is the oldest wheat known to scientists, and is considered man's first wheat! It has been eaten for over 12,000 years and it is believed that the first loaves of bread were made with it. Einkorn has been cherished throughout the ages for its rich flavor, digestibility, and high nutrition. It contains more antioxidants, protein, and minerals than modern wheat. It is higher in protein than quinoa. In fact, einkorn is higher in protein than any other small grain. Moreover, the low content of gluten in Einkorn makes it easier to digest than modern wheat.

We have customised the shape to be thicker, have a velvety rough texture and longer tenure of cooking which makes it even tastier! Einkorn has been said to taste like honey, honeycomb, chamomile, vanilla, cinnamon and white chocolate.

This pasta can be enjoyed however you prefer but it’s especially delicious with any pulses sauce like pasta e fagioli, why not try this variation?
